Model United Nations 6th-8th (Starts mid November) Held on Mondays and Thursdays.
In Model United Nations, scholars explore the field of international relations, practice their public speaking and communication skills, and meet new friends from around the world. Scholars will learn about the world’s biggest challenges, from civil war and extreme poverty, to human rights and climate change. They work together to explore solutions to these global problems, learn about different countries and cultures, and step into the shoes of UN diplomats – all while having fun with other students who share their passion about making our world a better place! New Model UN delegates are required to interview with the team prior to starting. You will receive your interview date mid September. Sessions will begin mid October and will run through April. Limited to 14 scholars with a minimum of 10 participants to run. Open to 6th-8th graders.
This course runs on Thursdays from 4:00-5:10pm. Program Fee is $10 plus an additional fees per conference (to be paid closer to conference dates.)
After School Snack Included.
Scholars may sign up to ride a shuttle from the Upper Academy to the Lower Academy at the end of practice.
